Master of Liberal Studies


Master of Liberal StudiesOffered through Rice's Glasscock School of Continuing Education, the Master of Liberal Studies degree offers students the opportunity to earn an advanced degree on a part-time basis. Students in this program explore a variety of subjects, including the humanities, social sciences and sciences. Designed for professionals who love discovering new ideas and discussing them with others, classes are held mostly in the evenings, with sessions during the fall, winter and spring. The program seeks committed, energetic adult students with bachelor's degrees from an accredited college or university, who have significant life experiences and who are able to communicate effectively to apply.

Students are expected to take one core course in each of the above disciplines, and may specialize within one of those tracks or choose to study a wider range of subject matter.
