Teach (Teaching Workshops for Future and Current Teachers) - provided by the Center for Teaching Excellence

*No longer offered through GPS; however, all workshops attended before the Spring 2013 semester will still count towards your certificate.

Rice’s Center for Teaching Excellence provides teacher training to graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, and faculty in the form of a certificate workshop. Sessions are open to all members of the Rice, Baylor College of Medicine, and UTHSC community. Workshops on a variety of topics important to developing teaching skills are generally offered twice monthly during the semester, at the noon hour. Participants who document their attendance at 8 sessions within a two-year period may receive a teaching certificate from the Center for Teaching Excellence. All Teach workshops are open to the public, no registration is required.

Succeed!
Rice’s Office of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies provides this workshop series which centers on issues important to current graduate students as well as issues that will arise once graduate students leave Rice. These sessions will hopefully address questions graduate students have pertaining to their time at Rice as well as help prepare them for their eventual careers in academia/the workforce. Although Succeed! sessions are open to all members of the Rice, Baylor College of Medicine, and UTHSC community, you must register to attend.  Each session will close once 30 participants have registered. Pizza will be provided on a first come first serve basis. Please follow the link below to register for sessions.
